Hey! I’m Dennis Lowe, the proud owner of Bottlebrush Painting & Restoration.

I was born in Texas and raised in Mobile, Alabama—just up the road from the University of South Alabama. Growing up on the Gulf Coast taught me to be resilient, resourceful, and respectful—values I carry into every project I take on.

I come from a long line of hard-working business owners. I’m a second-generation painting contractor and a fourth-generation entrepreneur. My great-grandfather led Local 653 Operators Union for decades. My grandfather ran Capricorn Construction. My father and uncle started their painting company in 1996—and it’s still running today. You could say this industry is in my blood. I caulked and puttied my first door casing at just nine years old.

That said, painting wasn’t always the plan. I studied accounting at the University of South Alabama before moving to California, where I truly found my calling. I had the privilege of working under a master painter who taught me how to manage jobs from start to finish and eventually helped me lead crews of my own. That experience lit the fire.

After returning home to Mobile, Alabama, I managed several teams for a local painting company before making the leap to start Bottlebrush Painting & Restoration.

Today, I take pride in delivering top-quality craftsmanship and personal service to homeowners and business owners throughout Mobile & Baldwin counties.

This isn’t just a job—it’s my passion. And I’m grateful to serve the community I call home.

Frequently Asked Painting Questions for Painting Contractors

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Before receiving your estimate our team will insure that we have discussed options, colors, sheens, and expectations. Once you receive your estimate you can expect it to include details such has material pricing, labor pricing, detailed description of your project, colors, sheens, and a small game plan of how you can expect the project to look.

A good paint job can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years. Stucco lasts a little bit longer, while wood expands and contracts, creating faster wear and tear on the paint surface.

We are fully licensed and insured in the State of Alabama, and we carry workers compensation on all employees.

This really depends, but after you have accepted the estimate we will reach out to you about a soft start date, and as we near the start date we will be in constant communication with you so that you know exactly when we will start.

Before arrival you will have details of our techs and their arrival times. Once we begin a job we stay on the job until it is completed. We will begin by moving, removing, covering, and protecting any of your furniture, art, etc. (don't worry we take detailed photos and put everything back into its original home). We will cover your flooring, lighting, fans, etc. to protect those items from any paint drips, dust, etc. After we complete the project we will put everything back into place and complete a rough clean. We always leave touch up paint so that you can maintain your home throughout the years.

We do not accept payments until all of the work has been completed and the customer is satisfied. You can pay using cash, check, card, or your bank account through secured avenues.
